You will need to keep various records and documents through-out the financial year, in brief:

  • Details of takings
  • Paying-in Books
  • Bank Statements
  • Card Machine Statements
  •  Invoices for Expenses
  • Invoices for Purchases
  • Cheque Stubs
  • Details of Assets purchased and sold through-out the year
  • Details of any liabilities taken out or outstanding at year end, including interest charged
  • Details of VAT workings if VAT Registered
